Thankful Thursday!

I am thankful for my husband:

  • who understands that I need some time away with my friends

  • who is a good dad and can take care of our girls when I am out with friends for a night

  • who can take care of the house chores when I have a night out

  • who encourages me to support my friends on their accomplishments

  • who listens to me when I need to talk

  • WHO LOVES ME NO MATTER WHAT!!!!

    I LOVE YOU JOHN!!!

I am also thankful for friends:

  • who keep you accountable when setting goals

  • who take over my responsibilities when I need to do other things

  • who will stand in a parking lot and talk to you when they are dying on the inside to go home and find out their final grades on their college exams

  • who listens to your heart and knows what you are saying when you don’t know the words to express

  • who’s company I enjoy – even when the food & service served from the restaurant isn’t all that good

  • who inspire me just by living their lives

I am thankful for God’s love and blessings in my life!

I loved your list. Friends are very important to us women. We have a bond that it is difficult for men to understand. I am thankful you have a husband who knows you need time for yourself away from the home and family. The benefits will be felt by all of them. Blessings,Mama Bear

I so agree with you about the friend thing. Don't know what I would do without them in my life. Don't know how I survived without them in my life.

Hi Betty, thanks for visiting my blog and for your kind comments. I'm glad that I have inspired you on your journey. It isn't an easy journey, especially if you want the results to last. I have lost it quickly and gained it back. That's one of the reasons that I started my weight loss blog -- to dealve in the 'why' reasons of the weight. I have learned that weight isn't just a number on the scale. There is a reason why we have a need to overeat and carry this 'padding'. Have you ever checked out Setting Captives Free? They have a free online study called 'The Lord's Table' which I have studied numerous times and which really changed my heart. I highly recommend it. You can also purchase their study instead of doing it online (available at Christian Book Distributors). It isn't a weight loss 'program' per se, but is a study into what the bible says about the proper place of eating in our lives. I have done the study numerous times and learned more each time. It really changed my heart (well, the Lord did that, but He used the study). Feel free to visit my blog anytime -- my goal is to share my journey, especially spiritual journey, with others to hopefully have an influence on their journeys. D
